Each day is a miracle at the Place 2B.
Christ remains the head of our home…
and you and our volunteers are the heart!!! Thank you!
-Father Marty Carr
After over ten years in ministry to those in need, in 1985 Fr. Marty Carr wrote the following Mission and Goals that we continue to aspire to live out today. Fr. Carr shared that we are called to serve Jesus by caring for others as in the Gospel verses of Matthew 25:31-46.
The Mission of Father Carr’s Place 2B
As a Life Enrichment Center, we are driven by Christian values to provide a sense of community and support for people in need. We strive to foster hope self-worth and self-sustaining life, through housing, food, health care, educational programs and volunteer opportunities.
We have been called to heal wounds,
to unite what has fallen apart,
and to bring home those who have lost their way.
-St. Francis of Assisi
The Goals of Father Carr’s Place 2B
To the homeless we are to be HOPE of shelter…
To the hungry we are to be HOPE of food…
To the lonely we are to be HOPE of friendship…
To the alcoholic or drug dependent we are to be HOPE of recovery…
To the depressed we are to be HOPE of discovery of self worth and purpose…
To the physically, sexually and spiritually abused we are to be HOPE as a Christian Domestic Abuse Shelter and Home…
To the sick we are to be HOPE of healing…
To those who struggle with faith we are to be HOPE in our example and Life in Christ…
The Goals of Father Carr’s Place 2B were designed by Fr. Marty Carr to create disciples of Jesus, specifically through living out the Gospel of Matthew 25:31-46.
Truly I tell you, whatever you do for one of the
least of my brothers and sisters, you do for me.
-Jesus (Matthew 25:40)
