Father Carr’s Place 2B has announced the cancellation of their Annual Bridge Walk fundraising event. The event was to be held on Saturday, September 12. The event committee decided that due to the COVID-19 situation, it wouldn’t be in the best interest of participants to proceed. “The health of our staff, volunteers and participants is our top priority” stated board president, Nic Bur. “The hope is that all of this will pass and we can have our event again next year.”
The Bridge Walk serves as an avenue for people to become familiar with the mission and work that is done at Father Carr’s Place 2b as well as a fundraiser for the organization. Hundreds of people participate in this event each year.

Donations can also be dropped off at the Mother Teresa Center at this same address.
“We depend on and appreciate the generosity of the community,” said John Nieman, Executive Director. “We will miss being able to connect with our supporters through this event.”
